That Land was My Land

I grew up in Upstate New York, in the small town of South Cairo. The Hudson Valley is a beautiful region, and the Catskill Mountains still hold a special place in my heart. Despite moving to the city as a kid, I remain connected to nature, spending a lot of time outdoors. I love hiking, sailing, paddleboarding, fishing, biking, longboarding, and going to the beach.

Upstate Guy Living in an Uptown World

I spent the majority of my childhood on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. I was fortunate enough to attend Rodeph Sholom and Columbia Preparatory School. We often had recess in Central Park, gym days at Chelsea Piers, and school tours at the American Museum of Natural History and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Growing up in the city was fun and exciting, but I always maintained a strong connection to my Upstate roots.

Making My Way Downtown

Following the arc of Mrs. Maisel, I ventured south to the Village, where I attended NYU Stern for undergrad. I felt like I had rediscovered my city! At Stern, I majored in Management and Marketing and minored in Computer Science and Math. At school, I met lifelong friends, including my wife! After college, I worked at several tech startups around the City before entering real estate. I took the quickest path into the industry by becoming a realtor, rediscovering New York for the third time.

No Sleep Til Brooklyn

I moved even further downtown to the Financial District. During my time selling real estate, I went back to NYU to earn my MBA, specializing in finance and real estate. Shortly thereafter, we moved to Brooklyn. COVID hit NYC very hard and shut brokerage down for a while. I then accepted a role at Sonder, a tech-forward hospitality company. I worked my way up on the Investment Analysis team for a few of years before my next big move.

She Gon' Make Me Move to Miami

After 24 years of living in New York City, I was ready for something new. My wife and I moved down to Miami, FL, where she was raised, which kicked off a slew of life changes. Since moving to Miami, I accelerated my career, settled into our first house, purchased my dream car (pictured here), became Treasurer of the Porsche Club of America Gold Coast Region, and adopted a second puppy (also pictured here).
